Project Update

Hey everyone!

I've been sick and the holiday has made my updates lag a little, but here is a little eye candy on some of the bullet stuff I've been working on!

Those are the composited images above of the bullet leaving the barrel! Here are a couple of the raw images and 3d models I made.

There is much more to come! I'll be focusing on the bullet leaving the gun and hitting and exploding next!

Week 1 final project update

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to update you all on my current progress. So far I have animated the opening and ending of the final project. The ending animation may change to be more fluid as I go along, but I'm happy with the beginning and pretty happy with the end.

The video is taking some time to process on vimeo (encountered an error here) Im 'waiting in line' on vimeo for the video to process so I'll edit this post with a link in a little bit when the video is finally done.

The video will be live here momentarily:

 Final Project: beginning and end
Next Week, I'll be working on some of the bullet effects. Like building a 3d model of the bullet for composting as well as some practical effects like ink blots and a gun barrel.

Final Project storyboards

Hey everyone,

I wanted to describe my final project.
A quick treatment would best describe this as an abstract trans-formative piece where the image continuously changes into something else. 1:It starts with a very abstract representation of the universe depicted by a black sphere in a white void slowly spinning.
2: slowly the black bleeds out which is then followed as it changes into a lava like flow
3:which is then guided down a flume.
4/5:The flume splits up in a 'peace sign' pattern
6: before rejoining into a deeper chamber meant to resemble a bullet mold.

7:The bullet cools
8:The bullet is the put into a shell casing
9:  and systematically loaded into a gun grip,
10: then into the chamber/barrel
11/12: and ultimately fired.
13: The bullet's path is tracked in slow motion as it
14: hits a wall and deforms. Ink bleeds out from the bullet's deformation
15: which runs down the wall to form a face.
16: The camera zoom out as the ink face transitions into real footage
17:  and is then transformed into a particle like construction of the original footage
18A: which is then dispersed and comes  back to reform a new face 'without a mouth'
18B: The face turn to a colorized pastel as buildings enter from top of frame in the BG
19: A closer ground forms in the scene along with a seed which begins to grow and becomes a brain like plant. Eventally a large explosion goes off in the distance fading into a bright white.
20: Small black particle coalesce to form original black sphere from beginning.

Here are the Story boards.

Hey everyone! here is my first blog post showcasing the first portion of my rotoscope project for the Modes of Animation class.

The specific line I am illustrating follows:

"20 years later he returned with iron fists and . . "

My raw image here:

Shows what will be future iron fists smashing some bricks in order to display the 'warrior's' power!

Here is a rough of my design outline for this frame.

of course I'm going to add lots of color and maybe some anime rays!
Hope you like it!
